ABOUT MOORLANDS DOG RESCUE
Moorlands Dog Rescue is a small charity run entirely by volunteers and relying solely on donations. All our dogs go to volunteer foster homes and are then rehomed to new families who are given life time backup. This means if there ever comes a time when the new owners cannot keep the dog, it should be returned to Moorlands Dog Rescue.
We have no office, and no phone number as everyone who runs the rescue uses their own cars, homes and phones and works around their jobs and families. All money is raised from fundraising events and public donations and all of it goes to the dogs as we have no paid staff and no overheads.
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, get in touch and we will arrange a homecheck to discuss what you are looking for. From there we can arrange a meet and greet if there is a specific dog you are interested in that is a good match. If this goes well, we can go forward with adoption.
All of our dogs are microchipped, wormed, vaccinated and neutered/spayed before going to their new homes in most cases, and where this isn't possible, the rescue pay for the spay/neuter when the dog is able to have it done. All dogs have a minimum donation listed on their profile. Many adopters kindly choose donate more than this figure as this amount does not cover all the costs we generally incur.
